Dacor, a company dedicated to the development of smart and luxury appliances, has presented at CES 2013 its new kitchen oven with Android integrated. It is an automation device with Internet access capability. The name will be Discovery IQ.
Technically, it is noteworthy that uses a 1Ghz processor and 512MB of RAM. It comes with 16GB internal memory and, of course, Wi-Fi. The touchscreen has 7 inch powered by a PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor. It has stereo sound. The operating system is Android and comes with version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed.
With all these features, as you can imagine, through the oven can access the Internet to read mail, social networks, watch videos, read news and just about anything that comes to mind. Of course user will be able to play, as it is based on Android, thers is access to the Play Store to download any application or game. So we can have fun while cooking without forgetting that occasionally you have to keep an eye on the food to prevent burning.
Dacor claims that will be in stores after the summer and can be purchased worldwide. The problem is probably that the price will range between 3,300 € and 5,500 € in double version.
